About Ella B's Generous Hands

Ella B's Generous Hands mission is to serve the needs of our community impacted by challenges and homelessness through memorable experiences, healthy initiatives, and community resources, one hand at a time. 

 

Our purpose is to address the needs of homelessness by providing food, shelter, clothes, employment resources, scholarships and life skills.

The vision to create Ella B's Generous Hands was cast by Ella B's Restaurant owners, Patricia, and Patrick Whitfield. For more than 17 years, Patricia and Patrick have served food during the holidays for the homeless population in Dallas, TX, where they resided and ran a successful catering business, Covenant Catering.

In April of 2021, they opened their new restaurant, Ella B's Restaurant, named after Chef Patrick's Grandmother, in the "American Dream City" of Arlington, TX. The Whitfields understood that "To whom much is given, much is required", (Luke 12:48). This urgency to give back grew quickly. As the 2021 Holidays approached, they realized that this call would require help. In sharing their message, the vision was cast and responses from community leaders in Arlington Texas and North Texas came onboard to champion this mission.

On October 2021, Ella B's Generous Hands Holiday Giveback was launched. Ella B's Generous Hands is working to expand our mission to serve year-round. Through growing partnerships, volunteers, and donations this is happening.
